County of Summit Department of Job and Family Services (CSDJFS) is conducting a Title XX Public Hearing on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at The Job Center at 1040 E. Tallmadge Avenue, Room 119 A & B, Akron, Ohio 44310.
Title XX is an amendment to the Social Security Act that encourages an expansion of social services to individuals and families. A panel of representatives from CSDJFS, County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board and Summit County Mental Retardation Board will be available to listen to citizens’ ideas on how Title XX funds should be spent in Summit County during fiscal years 2012 and 2013 (July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2013). Written testimony is also being solicited and should be mailed to: Attention Christine Marshall, Deputy Director, 47 North Main Street, Akron Ohio 44308 by February 24, 2011.
