SCDJFS outreach services at Akron Children's Hospital will be temporarily suspended beginning September 1, 2026.
Residents who need assistance with SCDJFS benefits or services can continue to contact Summit County Department of Job and Family Services directly.
Outreach services at this location will be reevaluated as agency staffing and operations stabilize.
SCDJFS case management services will continue at Summa Health System – Akron Campus for eligible patients receiving services through the hospital.
These services are not available as a general public walk-in outreach location.
